CANDIDATE for DIRECTOR at LARGE
Angela Miller-Pomlee, Business & Employment Specialist/Lead worker/High School Outreach Coordinator
As a business and Employment Specialist with the State of Oregon for coming up on 7 years I am humbled daily to assist our community members as well as my coworkers, in their growth, both professionally and personally. I have taken advantage of leadership opportunities in the Emerald subchapter of IAWP that I feel will be beneficial in a state board role. I was Emerald sub chapter president for a year and I was the treasurer for a year before that. In my tenure with the organization I have attended IAWP conferences. I witnessed firsthand the value of the educational offerings at the international IAWP conference when it was held in Portland a few years ago. I was fortunate enough to receive the “New Employee Performance Award” during my first year with IAWP. I am extremely eager and interested in representing and guiding my teammates as well as assisting in bringing backing a powerful and thriving IAWP atmosphere here locally. I would be honored to continue my role on the IAWP board in one of the Director at Large positions, because of the amazing dedication the Association has to the people they represent. Thank you for your time and consideration,
Angela Miller-Pomlee.

CANDIDATE for DIRECTOR at LARGE
Steve Strain, Regional Technician
I have been with the Oregon Employment for 17 years this July. I have been a member of IAWP 10 years. I started as the Oregon Chapter web site administrator just before becoming a member. I've been an editor of the Chapter newsletter pretty much the entire time. I still do both of these tasks and really enjoy doing them. I accepted the nomination as a Director-at-Large because I think that the IAWP brings value to it's members and allows it's members to grow as professionals. I've learned much and continue to do so. These Directors-at-Large positions are still evolving, so I look forward to helping to create these new Board-level positions for future Directors. I currently hold one on the Director at-Large positions.
